The SV 106D Six-channel Human Vibration Meter and Analyser meets requirements of ISO 8041:2005 standard and it is an ideal choice for measurements according to ISO 2631-1,2&5, ISO 5349 and directive 2002/44/EC of European Parliament.

Whole-body vibrations, which are defined in ISO 2631, are vibrations caused by vehicles, machinery, and industrial activities that affect human comfort, activities, and health. This type of human vibrations measurements is done with sensors that are flat and in the shape of a seat pad. It is placed directly on the seat cushion, floor, or fastened to the rear of the seat.

The vibration dose value VDV is calculated using the fourth power of the frequency-weighted instantaneous vibration acceleration. The whole-body vibration daily exposure A(8) is calculated at the highest (RMS) value or the highest vibration dose value (VDV).

The whole-body vibration measurement is easier thanks to SV 38V seat-accelerometer which can be placed directly on the seat cushion, floor or fixed to the back of the seat.
