The clamp on tester has a measurement range of ±99.9 mA DC. With an accuracy of 0.3% of rdg. +8 digits, the clamp on tester is a particularly accurate measuring instrument. In order to conveniently perform measurements with the clamp on tester, the current clamp itself is connected to a 1 meter / 3.3 ft cable. The current clamp can thus be attached to the cable to be measured. The clamp on tester can be conveniently placed aside at the workplace. This leaves both hands free while reading the measured values, for example to carry out adjustments or configurations on the process technology. Due to the high accuracy and the external sensor, the clamp on tester is ideally suited to make quick and reliable current measurements when process signals are involved.

In order to carry out a current measurement, the current clamp of the clamp on tester must be clamped around the cable to be checked. This allows the clamp on tester to measure the flowing current inductively. This has the particular advantage that a current measurement can be carried out during operation with the clamp on tester.

For improved visibility, the clamp on tester is equipped with an LED. With the LED of the clamp on tester, the measuring spot can be ideally illuminated.
